BOULDER — CU legends from Kordell Stewart to Laviska Shenault were on the field for the start of a historic, sold-out spring game Saturday at Folsom Field. Especially given the news that another Buffs tradition, the running of mascot Ralphie, would not be happening because of the snow overnight and early Saturday morning in Boulder that made the surface at Folsom too slippery for Ralphie to run.C...

Published Tue, 25 Feb 2025 00:35:32 GMT

SAN FRANCISCO — By last year’s trade deadline, the excitement that Michael Conforto and J.D. Davis felt during their ascendent 2019 felt like eons ago. You’re more under the organization’s thumb and you just have to do what you’ve got to do. … I was very outspoken in saying I just need more reps.”Davis had voiced his displeasure. He’d heard murmurs leading up to deadline day. So when his phone rang in the visitor’s clubhouse at Nationals Park last August, Davis wasn’t surprised to hear the voice of Mets general manager Billy Eppler on the other end. Where h...
